In Winter's my go to drink is coffee,In recent times Coffee is sharing equal space in India along with tea.The Gen-Z,swear by their coffee.Big Corporate Houses are taking interest in creating their own chains of coffee shops. Tata's in India already have Starbucks. With so much craze around coffee, it's not surprising to have coffee in our ice-creams and deserts.Today I am sharing a basic ice-cream recipe which is super easy to make and taste.

You can add any flavor instead of coffee to create your own special ice-cream.

CUISINE : INDIAN

PREP TIME:10 MINUTES.

COOK TIME : 15 MINUTES.

FREEZE TIME : 1 HOUR.

TOTAL TIME : 1 HOURS 15 MINUTES

SERVING : 6 PEOPLE.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Milk : 1 liter and 5 cups
  • Cornflour: 1TSP full(teaspoon)
  • Sugar : 1/2 cup and 2 TBSP.
  • Coffee: 2 TBSP (tablespoon)

PREPARATION:

  • Take a pan,add the milk and boil it, till it thickens to almost half of the original quantity.
  • After one or two boils,add the sugar exactly 1/2cup and 1 teaspoon of cornflour and allow it to cook till it thickens.
  • Add 2 tablespoon of coffee powder to it and mix.
  • In a frying pan,caramelize 2 heaped tablespoon of sugar until it turns into dark brown.
  • To this add 2 tablespoons of milk and add this mixture to the now thickened milk
  • Cool this mix immediately by putting the pan in ice cold water with freezing temperatures.
  • When it is half frozen,take it out and mix it well to prevent any crystal formation and to have smooth creamy texture.Refreeze it.
  • Serve it by garnishing it with your favorite toppings.
