Ingredients

  • Cauliflower : 1 Cup
  • Cabbage : 1 Cup
  • Potatoes ( mashed ) : 1 Cup
  • Carrot : 1 Cup, (Grated)
  • Green peas : 1 cup (boiled and mashed)
  • Onion : 1 cup finely chopped.
  • Paneer : 1 cup (Grated or mashed) - optional.
  • Red chili powder : 1 tablespoon OR you can use mint chutney if you have at hand.
  • Turmeric :1/2 teaspoon.
  • Black pepper powder : 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Starch powder or All purpose flour : 5 table spoon ( for coating and binding)

Instructions

  1. In a big bowl mix all the above ingredients like cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, mashed potatoes, mashed Tofu or paneer if you have added, boiled and mashed green peas and finely chopped onions.
  2. (If you find the mix is too moist to your touch can add a slice or two of bread or add the flour to the mix)
  3. Next are the spices, check the salt and the heat you need(Add red chili powder,salt according to your taste..you can also use mint chutney if you already have it)
  4. Add the binding agent (starch powder or All purpose flour)
  5. Create a slurry paste of the binding agent to coat the patty(Add a little salt and black pepper powder to it, to give it additional flavor)
  6. Take a pan,heat it on medium flame, add oil,when the oil is heated to required heat and you see fumes coming,reduce the flame and add the patties to the pan.
  7. Shallow fry the patties from both the sides,till they are golden brown.
  8. Serve with your favorite sauce or chutney.
